Matvey Construction donated a PolyLEVEL services gift certificate to Bikeworks, a youth organization that builds sustainable communities by educating youth and promoting bicycling, for their upcoming Auction on March 22, 2015.

Since 1996 Bikeworks worked to educate and empower youth, and make bicycling accessible and affordable to the Seattle community. Matvey Construction got involved with bikeworks 2 years ago when their children took the beginner's bike repair class. We were impressed with the mission of this organization and staff's dedication to kids learning process. "Once the children pass the class, they are invited to come back weekly to repair bikes that would be later given to kids who cannot afford them" Mat Cote explained "we, as a company want to support such initiatives."

HOW BIKE WORKS MAKES A DIFFERENCE BikeWorks Mission Youth Programs We empower youth to lead healthy and productive lives. In our classroom and out in the field our youth participants build confidence, critical thinking, and life skills. They also learn what it means to give back through community service. Adult Programs From classes to volunteer opportunities, our adult programs engage people and promote bicycling. Non-Profit Community Bike Shop Our bike shop sells affordable recycled bicycles to the greater Seattle community while generating revenue to run our programs, and helps further our mission to get more people riding bikes. Bicycle Recycling & Reuse All of our programs are run using bikes donated to us by the community. We view each and every bicycle donated, refurbished, and recycled back into the community as one less bike in the landfill, and hopefully one less car on the road.
