Challenge

The owner of this commercial building located in Bothell, WA requested an engineer to inspect and prepare an estimate for foundation repairs due to cracking and settlement of the foundation. During the inspection, the engineer found rotted tree roots and mucky, poor, loose mud with no compaction under a key point of the foundation.

Solution

Matvey Construction supplied the client with a complete structural repair design.Our crew installed push piers ranging in depths from 20’ to 25’ to correct the settlement due to poor soils. The structure was lifted at a total of 4” and the entire installation was monitored and documented. The project was completed in 4 days, a full report, photos and 75-year warranty was given to the client who was thrilled with our work and our customer service.
