Challenge
Matvey Construction’s inspector was called out to this Bellevue, WA home due to a sloping second story floor above the garage. During the inspection, the inspector found settlement in the garage foundation and the back portion of the house. Upon further review, drainage problems were evident and was the source of several settlement issues.
Solution
Our crew installed 13 push piers at depths up to 64 feet to correct the settlement problems. Repair of the drainage system was completed to divert the water flow away from the home. Several areas of the foundation were repaired, sealed and tested. Matvey Construction installed monitors on the interior of the home, 6 months of monitoring are recommended for other areas of movement.
