Our house developed a foundation crack, which was allowing the corner of the house to sink. I called Matvey. They came out right away and gave me a bid. Matvey is a structural engineer so his bid included the engineering. Because Matvey has a long history of working on foundations in my part of the city he had access to the necessary soils data. He predicted the bedrock depth within 6 inches. I was able to negotiate a price that fit my budget and they added my house to their schedule within a week. The crew came out and had the repair completed in two and a half days. After digging out the foundation on the corner of the house they found that fixing the problem would require additional concrete and re-bar work. Matvey kept the additional charges to a minimum for which I am grateful. The crew worked very hard because they had to bring all the gear and concrete up a lot of stairs. They answered my questions and showed me what they were doing. They fully restored a brick pathway that they had to dig up to make the repairs. Matvey also personally went under the house (not easy to do) to confirm the adequacy of his repair design. He also checked the basement flooring supports to insure they were still strong. Looking to use the Matvey again on a retaining wall project.

Daniel and his crew were on time, courteous and they really knew what to do without much fuss. This instilled confidence knowing that the job was going to get done correctly! They were cautious at first but once they ascertained the general conditions of the substrate and how it would react, they then advanced on to get everything leveled up. And the icing on the cake was when they started to clean up and patch/match the exiting slab, you hardly noticed that they were even there. This is the distinguishing mark of a good work crew and leader!!
