Retaining Wall & Foundation Crack Repair For Your Seattle Home

Retaining walls serve to retain the lateral pressure of soil. More simply, retaining walls are used to hold back soil and substrate from moving due to the effects of gravity and erosion. However, due to the amount of stress that these walls are under they often crack, bow or become damaged. The ways that our crews take action and restore them is with two primary methods; we either use a wall anchor system or a helical tieback system to reinforce the structure. We have seen great results with these two systems and over the years we have streamlined and improved our process to the point of perfection.

Matvey Foundation Repair offers foundation repair, concrete slab lifting with PolyLevel, concrete sealing with SealantPro, retaining wall repair and structural engineering services in Seattle, Washington at a cost that will be affordable for you. We not only adhere to the highest industry standards, we strive to be the industry leader in the home improvement related services we provide. We also use state-of-the-art products and technology which are designed to fix your home at a price that you can afford. We have a sloped backyard. We have a pool sitting on the ground with a deck surrounding the pool. Over time the supports for the deck have rotted and the deck now slopes. Also on this deck structure sits a pool house which is also sloping. The structure sits on concrete pads for the support beams. There may not be a sufficient number of support pads/beams. Adjacent is also a concrete foundation for the pool pumphouse that has sloped and cracked.

Vicinity of Lafayette Ave S in Seattle
We bought an old (originally 1908) house with the expectation of tearing it down, but are now looking to potentially rehab the house. It is a one story plus habitable attic, and has a cinder block foundation with a crawlspace. The foundation has cracked mortar and there is significant sagging under at least one wall, presumably requiring some form of support. Ideally, we'd like to address serious concerns with the foundation, and potentially consider additional support as necessary to allow for some expansion of the attic and/or raise a two-room addition (built on slab-on-grade) to be level with the rest of the house. Of course, all of this will depend on structural and financial feasibility.

Very old long rock / concrete slab retaining wall next to house. It has most likely been there since the house was built in 1926. Concerned that with time or in the next earthquake the wall could slide into my house. Would like to explore ways to strengthen it.
